SDGs Labs is a European project from the Erasmus+ programme “Knowledge Alliances”, which was launched at the beginning of January 2019.

The project focuses on the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals), which were defined by the United Nations in 2015 as guidelines for the implementation of sustainable development and have since been incorporated into many programmes.

The AIM is to work with companies to generate a deeper understanding of the complex SDGs and to translate them into business-relevant innovations. A great potential lies in the holistic consideration of the entire cycle of the 17 SDGs, not just individual “low hanging fruits”.

The FOCUS in this project lies in the agro- and food sector, since cycles are particularly well traceable here. These are addressed:

  • Companies: from all stages of the value chain – agriculture, food production, retail, …
  • Associations and federations
  • Start-ups and incubators
We have teamed up with 7 strong, partly well-known, PARTNERS to make SDGs a central part of the business of companies and organizations: WU Vienna, ISEKI-Food Association, University Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro, Regio Douro Park and Ceifa coop. from Portugal, University Vechta as well as the company WIESENHOF.
